First Holy Communion, Saturday, May 6th 4pm

Faith Formation at St. Anselm’s employs a multi-age model of instruction to foster community, role modeling and a safe space where children can grow in their faith and in their relationship with God.  Using a child-centered approach, we encourage children and young adults to encounter their faith through a variety of activities: engagement with Biblical stories and the Sacraments through the creative arts for the youngest, “faith in action” instruction for elementary/middle schoolers and reflective Confirmation preparation for high schoolers.

Cram the Van for Daniel’s Table

The amazing St. Anselm community and Faith Formation classes helping Daniel’s Table. Daniel’s Table is a non-profit organization located in Framingham whose mission is to “provide food security services to our neighbors-in-need with dignity and respect. Offering education and opportunity, we are creating a model that opens healthy food channels to promote physical and emotional health community-wide”.

EDUCATION

St. Anselm’s faith formation program offers classes to people of all ages who wish to deepen their understanding of our God and our Catholic Faith. Our programs are rooted in scripture, service, and developing trusting relationships within our community.

Our faith formation classes have been fortunate to create initiatives such as our “H2OPE” effort to bring clean drinking water to Tanzania, and fundraising events to support the United Service Organization. We are extremely proud of all who have participated in our program, and look forward to continuing this dynamic effort and welcoming all who wish to join us.

SACRAMENT PREPARATION

FIRST COMMUNION

The Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life. When we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, we deepen our communion with God and our fellowship with each another. To prepare for First Communion, your child must be enrolled for 2nd Grade.

RECONCILIATION

The sacrament of Reconciliation is about mercy – the mercy of Jesus Christ. Confessing our sins reconciles us to God and restores us to his grace and deep friendship. Confession breaks the power of shame and the hurt of sin, and restores us within the community of faith.

CONFIRMATION

In Confirmation we receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and the deepening of baptismal grace, enabling us to grow as mature disciples of Christ. St. Anselm’s confirmation program is a 2-year program, in 9th and 10th grades.

If you are an adult seeking to receive Baptism, First Communion, or thinking about becoming Catholic, please contact us – we would love to welcome you and help you take the next step!

ADULT FAITH FORMATION

Anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of the faith is welcomed & encouraged to participate in one of our learning opportunities for people of all ages – including online courses, retreats, book clubs, service opportunities, and more.
